Well ... firstly, schools that are doing well won’t be forced. However, OFSTED seem to like changing the goalposts every so often, so schools that were outstanding one year will be just about good the next. This has happened a few times, so more schools can be forced to be an academy just by making it harder to do well in an inspection. Also, schools in LEAs that are not doing well will be forced into Academy status. So plenty of chances to ensure as many school as possible are pushed that way. |
