I didn't know there was such a thing as good cholesterol and, as it turns out, there isn't.

I recall a study that was mentioned in Ben Goldacre's book. Trials were done on a drug that raised HDL (termed "good" cholesterol) and people started dropping dead from heart attacks. The cholesterol pathway is one of the most studied in the human body but we still don't understand it.
