Sorry about that subject title... So yeah, it's yet another snide move from the government, hoping that a mixture of apathy and any dissatisfaction with the unions will see them weakened. This combined with the voting arrangements should do just that, they hope. I hope English voters remember who in particular slowly took away their safety net :evil:

I've only had one job where I was in a union. I was made redundant after a year...

I don't see the problem with this. It's easy these days for everyone to have a direct debit or standing order. It's hardly a major attack on union members.

It's more the unions than their members, they know damn well most people will put off sorting out finances - everybody from banks to Netflix relies on that one.
