I remember early on in the App Store(s) there were a plethora of apps that (unlike the accusation thrown at the likes of CoD) actually literally were 'gun simulators'. They had sometimes highly accurate 3D models of various firearms, and you could work the various controls and even sometimes fire them. And that was all. No targets to shoot at. No missions to complete or story to progress. Just a gun, floating in 3D space and you could fiddle with the safety and pop the magazine if you wanted to. Some of them even had in app purchasing, where you could spend real money to get more different virtual guns. I always thought they were seriously freaky.

Well, this is disappointing: I’d at least expect them to drone the weapons to the customer. I mean, if you need a gun so badly you have to buy online while watching a TV channel, you clearly need the gun then. After all, they’re at the door, and you need to defend yourself.
