That's increasingly true over here at least, but that's probably got more to do with a ridiculously stretched force. And it must be hard to find a balance when kids often are small adults these days!

But let's be honest, there's less reason to trust the police every day - unjustified killing and maiming, treatment of suspects, the targeting of the victim or their living relatives... The list goes on.

Over here the parents hide behind the acts of their children - which are often instigated by the parents.
It's a catch-22 situation in that the kids are kids, but they are still committing adult crimes. Do you prosecute as a child or as a 'small adult'? *shrug*
