If any more proof were needed that the state of OS X software is healthier than ever then it is the news that Apple’s annual developers’ get-together has sold out in record time.

What are the chances of the "iPhone lite" and "media pad" making an appearance?

My money is on them not appearing.

There's seemingly very strong rumours of another iPhone model being released around the same time as the iPhone software v.3 being made publicly available.
In any case, there's not really that long to wait and see.

New iPhone seems certain. As for the iPhone nano or whatever, I think it’s bollox. You can’t make it any smaller without losing the touchscreen—which means you lose all the apps. That’s not an iPhone, that’s an ordinary phone.

Media tablet = utter [LIFTED].

"Apple may have a smaller-footprint, sub-$1000 notebook in the works after all, despite COO Tim Cook's poo-pooing of typical netbooks during last week's quarterly earnings call. Why do we say that? A reference to a computer model identified as a 'MacBookMini' has shown up in stat logs for the Mac OS X chat client Adium X," Chris Foresman reports for Ars Technica.

Let the rumours increase until the conference

I don’t think they could make the UI smaller and useable anyway. It’s a bit cramped as it is at times when you have the keyboard displayed.
