http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8180115.stm I wonder how many church Facebook groups there are? ![]() The thing about suicide just sounds like an article he read in the paper to be honest, not much to form an opinion on ![]() I suspect he's just angry that the youth of today are on the net and learning stuff for themselves... I personally know more over 30s who are on Facebook though ![]() |

He just says that because he has no friends online, and everyone calls him a “noob”.
In other news, people don’t go to church as much as they used to, so the quantity of people in congregations has reduced. The clergy no longer have the control over communities that they did, and if people seek communities, then they are doing so using methods that others clearly find scary. |

Indeed. It is now easier than ever for people to organise themselves into online "communities" of similar interests, rather than be restricted to a community of many disparate interests based solely on geography. I have friends both online and offline, I don't see anything wrong with that. |

+1, it's nothing to get concerned about, is it? Just the Archbishop seeing the church's grip on society loosening. Of course, he could use technology to try and stop that, but I'd rather he didn't anyway ![]() |
