So... it’s OK for the police to follow you around and film you with a video camera then - even if you have done nothing wrong. But not the other way round, judging from threads elsewhere. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/manc ... 164697.stm |

That's disgusting. First we had the Terrorism Act, the provisions of which would only be used "in extreme circumstances" - and we see it get used against photographers and protestors. Then we had RIPA, which would only be used against people engaged in "serious" criminal behaviour, and we've seen it been used to see if parents are in a school catchment area, if people are putting their bins out too early or simple littering. And now we have this authoritarian [LIFTED]. Where does this leave the Right to Privacy under the ECHR? Where does this leave the requirement for RIPA authorisation for surveillance? I also note that the intend to retain the footage on a database. Presumably if someone has done nothing wrong/not charged or convicted then the footage will be erased? Yeah, right. ![]() This goes against the spirit of the ruling of the ECHR, in which the government was criticised for not removing DNA from the national database when a person was not charged or convicted. Yay. I was down the beach yesterday afternoon talking to a mate about the vaccine and lizard people (as you do), and we both agreed that it seems that slowly but surely, there is a critical mass building of people who are waking up to what's going on. Unfortunately, depending on what you read/listen to or who you talk to, Europe is in on the whole thing. After all, Europe is just another stage on the road to global government. The Swiss obviously have their heads screwed on. So on that basis, I'm not sure the ECHR means anything. Re-read the David Shaylor article and listen to what he says about the common law movement. Then go away and do some research and see what you think. As for the story, it's absolutely outrageous. Perhaps we all need to start carrying cameras and start watching the watchmen....? |
