Since Vodafone started charging £x per day for data (even when I've disabled mobile data on my phone) when my phone is switched on in Europe, I've stared leaving my phone off all together when I'm on holiday. I'm not paying for data I'm not using. So for me price drops in Europe are irrelevant.
