http://www.asthma.org.uk/news-centre/la ... -research/ I wouldn’t put myself in the “severe” category by a long chalk. However, unlike my mum, I never grew out to asthma, and I am aware that as my dotage approaches, it could get worse. So it’s good to know of breakthroughs like this. |

In all honesty, most asthmatics don't take their meds. There are some who are serious about it, know exactly what to do when they have a flare up and know when to see their doctor or call 999. In my experience, there's a huge number who don't take any inhalers or just the reliever. They don't take their preventer. Worse still, they don't take their preventer when they know a cold is coming on or it's autumn/winter. So what would be interesting to see is: 1. What is the breakthrough? And 2. Who will benefit? |
