http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-16747153 Some people need to get a life! Anyway its easy to resolve - offer the kids a choice Option 1 Take part in the cookery competion and have a day off to celbrate the Dimond Jubilee Option 2 Attend school and do a 6 hr exam on the relative benifits of a republican system ![]() |

I get a day off to mark the Jubilee, I think I shall celebrate it by attending a Repbulican event. ![]() |

These sort of people really piss me off. I don't care what your opinion on the monarchy is, don't throw a paddy just because people have a different opinion to you. These children are going to have a fun and educational day cooking. So what if they've decided to theme it around the queen. It's hardly the same as North Korea. Get a life FFS. It's like people who hate religion demanding that people shouldn't wear crosses etc at work. They're just intolerant! |

The point is the monarchy is part of the political system of the UK. It should be discussed as such, not held at arms length while everyone bows reverentially. |
