By the sounds of it she was lucky to be Australian. Had she been Japanese, Korean or Irish, then stereotypical swimming skills would have ensured her drowning.

I would never do it at a place where I think there would be a chance of it not being 100% maintained. I did a bungee jump in new Zealand at a lot higher drop than the one in the video. The company (A J Hackett) were one of the first bungee jump companies in the world and in their 30+ years of jumps they have never had even a slight injury never mind a fatality or rope snapping etc... It was the scariest and most awesome thing I have ever down. |
