I'm predicting that it'll require a small loan to buy, though you'll probably be able to save on your home heating costs ;)

I seriously doubt I'll be interested no matter what...

If they carry on the Uncharted series I'll be getting one. :D

That said they need an overhaul of their whole company at the moment although it may mean they give incentives to buy the units. Maybe.

I've always said I'd never buy a games console, mainly due to the stupidly high games cost. However I might change that with the next generation. I just can't afford to build high end gaming PC's every few year. If I buy a console at the start of the 10 year life cycle I should get my money's worth out of it. It would also last my son until he leaves home. (Assuming it's another four of five years until they come out.)

Blockbusters is good for cheap 2nd hand titles. Most of my PS3 games are 2nd hand, either from their or ebay. As a general rule I never pay more than £15 for a game but then I don't need to have them on the day of release.

There may be an exception to that rule with Uncharted 3 though. :D

I am always late to the console market. I want to have a decent range of games to chose from. I only recently bought a Xbox 360. Though I then bought the games off eBay. Also because of my memory I need game manuals to complete the games, so get those first.

I would wait for a slim version before buying. Smaller, more efficient and hopefully all of the bugs will have been ironed out. As well as a greater selection of games having been released, hopefully at platinum prices.

Would need a TV as well though.

I've generally been an early adopter of consoles all the way back to the SNES and MegaDrive but the recent generation has finally put me off the idea. It's just not worth it any more. So I'll probably be doing the same - waiting at least a year after launch to see if a) They're manufactured properly ( listening MS?) b) they have decent software support (and you Nintendo) and c) Know what the hell they're doing in terms of services (and don't think I didn't see you hiding at the back there Sony).

A monitor would probably do actually :).

I think I'll stick with the PS3 and when the time comes to upgrade, I'll probably switch to MS. But it must have streaming media player and blu-ray function.
