2K's Mafia 2 has had a generally positive response from critics and spent three weeks on the top of the UK charts, fighting off competition from Kane & Lynch 2, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep.
However, it has only just received the recognition it truly deserves. 2K's crime ridden action game broken the Guinness World Record for most f-bombs dropped in a video game.
The record was previously held by Sega's House of the Dead: Overkill, which featured an impressive 189 uses of the F word.
Currently, Mafia 2 has over 200 uses of the word, however Guinness is still counting and will be receiving the game's full script soon.
"The number associated with the record is liable to change in the next few weeks, as 2K have promised to supply us with a copy of the game's full script under NDA so we can count the number of f-bombs ourselves and update the record with a complete figure" said a Guinness World Records representative.
2K recently announced new story driven downloadable content for Mafia 2 called 'Joe's Adventures'.
