NEWS CLICKY
He had a rope around his neck in a hotel room, but they've not yet said what the cause of death was.

I was going to post about this as well, but where does it mention a rope?

That link didn't originally mention rope, I saw it on News 24. Now they've added it to that story online.

Sad in both meanings of the word.

That's what I thought, but I have been known to get things wrong, so didn't question it...

Now renamed 'doing a Michael Hutchence'

This is really terrible news, I have been a fan of David Carradine since he did the first Kung Fu pilot movie. I followed his work and drew quite a bit of inspiration from his book 'The Spirit of Shaolin'.

There is a chapter within that book called 'When you lost the Way' about avoiding being completely discouraged, so I don't necessarily believe it was suicide like some reports are saying, maybe just some kinky Hutchence type thing.

Just heard it described on the radio as a 'rope around his neck and another part of his body'.
RIP David, hope it was worth it...

That's a real shame. From the descriptions it does sound a lot like self-asphyxiation gone horribly wrong…

I think the same article has been updated multiple times. When I first read it, it was barely a paragraph. Then it became a bit more padded out. Now there's more stuff incl a pic of him from his Kung Fu days.

I was a big fan of Carradine.

I first started watching Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, which was a fantastic series (albeit stretching things sometimes) that taught me a lot about myself and helped in the formation of the man I am today. Episodes can be seen on youtube.

I then started watching Kung Fu - the original series, which was good but different at the same time. Think he suited the role better than Bruce Lee would have.

Since then, I've watched some of the stuff he's been in like Lone Wolf McQuade, Kung Fu: The Movie, and a few chinese martial arts films.

RIP Kwai Chang Caine.
