I would have prefered the F65 for the remote shutter release but apart from that I just needed a basic camera. I'd have taken something older and fully manual to be honest but for a tenner I couldnt say no. It's been a while since I've used film and I'm quite looking forward to it!

Bought one of these via Amazon last night  A bit expensive I know but two cameras hanging around my neck complete with battery grips and mahoosive zoom lenses is just creating pain.

I'll post a review when I've used it a bit :D

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Well you should. They make a good filter apparently  Prefer to wear them myself - much cheaper than thermal gear ;)

I recently bought a Camera Armor neck strap and hand hold thingy, and they're very comfortable. Much nicer than the kit strap.

More helpfully -

Mine's black rather than the reflective finish in that picture.

Thanks Alex, I'll see if I can get one at some stage.

Thanks Matt, I wouldn't have thought of that

More seriously, two points to make. I didn't know the exact model he'd got, so didn't have anything to search on, other than a vague brand name and knowing how much he paid, (which I got from the link) has prevented me from possibly paying over the odds.

It was meant to be taken as a joke, but had I put in a smilie it would have given the game away.

Yes I know it was, but in the "real world" I often do the roll eyes thing when people tell jokes ;)

You wouldn't have known that though  <-- and again!

I've just had a horrible thought. With my new strap and shorts on I will look like I'm wearing Lederhosen......

Oh well, at least I'll be ok in Germany at Octoberfest

The Lederhosen look-alike straps arrived this morning :D Can't fault the delivery. Once I get the chores out of the way I'll start a review - first impressions are very favourable though...
