A short while, yes. For those bloggers that don't get pre-release versions of the new hardware they have to wait until the item is commercially available, and unless they got their order in ahead of the pack then there's usually a fairly lengthy wait for the new camera to make it's way to you.
I was one of the very first people in Northern Ireland to get a commercially available D3 and I had to wait almost 2 months for that privilege.

Don't need or want one.
Neither the D3x or the D3s really supersede the D3. They're more complementary to it. (8+)
