Scenario:

You've hundreds of 6x4 (ish) ratio digital photos, jpegs if you will, and you want to print 4 to a sheet of A4, with their file names. You want this done automatically, fast and as uncomplicated as can be. And if at all possible, it'd be nice if the exif orientation can be read to bunch portraits with portraits, landscape with lanscape. Basically you want something that'll make you a contact sheet (of sorts).

Question:

Which program would you use? And how?

Ignore me. Photoshop's "Automate" tool works just fine. I just need to google instead of head to forums.

Photoshop.

File>Auomate>Contact Sheet II.

You can set up all the bits n pieces you want to, like orientation, number per page, file name.
Don't think it'll cover all the EXIF stuff.
