UK Guardian's Camera Club tips for macro photography. http://bit.ly/4nrYrT

I will probably move this to the links thread eventually, but I wanted to flag it up first.

Is it just me or does the person holding the camera at the top of the article look like John Barrowman?

Anyway, nice article.

Interesting about the tripod stuff. I've always done macro stuff hand-held.

I'll have to experiment a bit with that :D

With all this talk of macro photography, I'd thought I'd upload some of the stuff I've taken. It's here.

I read an article recently on how Live View can help you achieve better/sharper focus in macro pics. It was in Practical Photography I believe. Very useful tips to be honest.

I think that was for Canons because of a digital zoom on live view iirc, although I probably didn't. :?

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

No thats about right. You can zoom in on the live view image and make sure the focus is spot on - in a nutshell.
