I shall post photos once I get some decent ones =p

It's arrived by the way!

Anyone know where to get a decent lens cap for the thing? Its a Fuji S2000HD and as it was a refurb it didn't come with a strap (which I probably won't use anyway) or a lens cap (which i'm gutted about).

I've found a couple on ebay from the USA, but I don't really like buying from abroad.. And they're extortionate for what is effectively a small round piece of plastic.

You can buy lens caps in Jessops for pennies. I don't know if the camera you've bought needs something specific, but usually all you need to know is the diameter of the lens, and you can get one that fits.

Jessops are extortionate for everything.
Find a local second hand dealer instead, the London Camera Exchange gave me one for nowt.
Either that, or look on eBay for a more generic one.

Not necessarily. I got my D80 just before Christmas for £390 brand new and they threw in an 8gb USB thumb drive too.

The nearest LCE to me is in Bath, making Jessops a hell of a lot more convenient. Having said that, I prefer Jacobs Digital at the moment.

I really do like Jacobs (And Mario at the Leicester store in particular is amazingly useful), although I do keep peering into LCE her in Bath. Damn I want a film camera! One finishing on eBay tomorrow, but may head to Bristol LCE for a looksy at one there...

Jacobs is on my list of "compare and contrast" web sites for prices. I compare their price with Camera World and Warehouse Express, and usually find the latter have the best prices.

That said, I've been to CW and Jacobs stores and found their service and advice to be second to none. For example, I bought a Sigma 28-300 from Jacobs in-store (Sheffield - long story, let's not go there!) when I actually went in for the equivalent Tamron. The assistant let me try both lenses on my camera, pointed out the Tamron had slower AF motors and plastic camera mount, and was more expensive than the Sigma. I bought the Sigma, they still made a sale, and raised their reputation with me.

But I still find Warehouse Express cheaper overall.

I tend to buy online from Warehouseexpress, but if I want to go in and buy instore, Jacobs is normally my first point of call, especially if I want to try stuff out (normally calling the store and asking things to be located for me to try when I arrive - they even charged the battery of a camera my uncle was about to purchase so he could use it the second he left the store).
