I know it's not a huge amount of money but I'm buying a Compact camera for my daughters Xmas present, can anybody recommend a good one that is teenage friendly for around £75?

A non-pink one! I know someone who has this who barely knows how to take a picture but gets on with it. Same as this one basically too (this one is cheaper).

The FujiFilm 'Z' cameras are a little bit more expensive but have features to make taking and uploading content to blogs and social networking sites easy if that's what she's into, they're also funky looking and come in different colours (apart from pink!). Here and here.

This might be worth a read too for some ideas, some are closer to £100 but you might find them on offer somewhere. Best sub £100 compacts

Went for this in the end - Fujifilm FinePix Z35 Digital Camera - Purple (10MP, 3x Zoom) 2.5 inch LCD, so hopefully it hit the spot when she opens it on xmas day.
