Christmas is coming and with a baby on the way I wont be splashing out or getting splashed out on (unless my little 'bonus' comes through I'm waiting for ![]() Anyway, I went into a random little shop in town the other day and that had loads of toy cameras. I've never come across them before and was intrigued. I like the idea of a plastic bit of cack snapping on 120 (6x6) film just for fun. Has anyone had a go and is it worth it? I'd be looking at the cheaper models to be honest just for a bit of fun. There's some starting around £25 if I remember. Also how do you go about processing the film? |

I've got 3 or 4 of them. Some use 35mm, the others use medium format (although I've got an adaptor for 35mm for it). Most photography shops can send it away for processing. |

What kind of costs are you paying out for 12 or 16 6x6 or 6x4.5 exposures on 120 film for example (processing and printing) and what size prints? I'm quite interested in the Holga 120 CGFN but can also use an adapter for 35mm for it too. |

I've got that very camera. 35mm is fun with it as you have to manually wind it on 24 clicks per frame, you can do great overlays by winding it on with the shutter open. prices for processing |

Thanks for that. Found a mail order place based in Newcastle too that are a little cheaper for 5x5 prints with a scan thrown in (I presume CD). |

Have you seen the book in Waterstones - cardboard cameras? |

Funnily enough I was thinking about downloading a cardboard template for a pinhole camera. I'll check Waterstones out. |

Had a look at the book in waterstones but gave it a miss. I downloaded a template off t'internet and made a pinhole camera last night. It kind of looks ok. Not sure how the pictures will turn out (especially as you need the 'shutter' open for so long) but will give it a whirl. I'll pop the results up here. |
