Digital gives me a lot more latitude. Leaving aside the instantaneous aspect, there's actually less work involved for me to end up with something that can go to print.

I hear you. I have hundreds (more likely thousands) of negs from various travels that are stored in archive sleeves that I am yet to digitise. Every time I think about it I break out in a cold sweat and go find something else to do.

I keep tempting myself with their medium format bodies that'll accept their 21MP digital back.
Think about that for a second. I do, a lot. :)

21MP? You mean like you get with this? :D

I DOES!!

Much prefer it.

I'm doing a City and Guilds qualification in B&W photography - really liking it!

:D
It's 22MP, just looked. The 5D Mk II does a lot more, of course.
It's this one.
And you can just swap it out for a 120/220 magazine instead as the mood takes you. Heaven.

Yes, I Googled it after you mentioned it. A bit more expensive than a Canon, too :D

Hasselblad have their own equivalent, of course, and it looks very nice - clicky.
39MP, but 49mm x 36.7mm sensor, so it should be pretty nice. :)
Oh, and a snip at £18k.

Yes, digital medium format is a very covetable and very expensive system!

I haven't taken my camera out for over a year, (must go and get some batteries when I get paid) but I've got a Nikon F65 35mm SLR and much prefer it to digital. I also have a Praktica ML5 which I think is probably older than I am - a "manual everything" SLR which I really like using as well.

Don't worry, Alex, you're not alone - I still use film daily.

I have an Olympus OM20 with a 50mm f/1.8 and a 28mm f/2.8 that Heather kindly sent me.

Ilford Delta 3200 for the win!!!

The grain of the delta is massive, but it's a damn fine film. One drawback though is that the OM20 only goes to ISO 1600, so I have to shoot fully manual and set the shutter speed manually. That's fine for the slow stuff, but backstage, when it's a fleeting moment, it's a pain in the ass.

I only use film because I have to - I nearly have enough money for my D700... :D

I still enjoy it though...usually...
