What 'rate' or quality are you shooting at? |

Seems to be file size going by this thread http://video.stackexchange.com/question ... lph-300-hs Presumably the camera imposes it and not the card. The suggestion is shooting in SD over HD, though presumably there's a middle ground in your settings, if it's actually noticeable either way. |

Could be a couple of things. One is file size limit is reached either by design or technical limitation. The other is an imposed limit to stop the sensor from overheating. Either way I don't think it's anything that can be 'fixed.' FAT file size can be gotten around with file spanning and overheating by camera design but I have also heard of an imposed limit (although greater than 15 mins) to get around some EU ruling that classifies digital cameras as video recording devices. Something like that. |

You could check the firmware is up to date on the Canon Support website? What class is the memory card? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

IIRC 30 mins classifies it as a video camera and hence attracts more tax. |
