I recently bought a pack of Lightbox Photography Cards (and chipped in on the Kickstarter for the new Macro version). It's essentially a deck of 52 cards with each one featuring a photo challenge and brief description. This gave me an idea that they could be used for a 52 week project for 2016. The idea is simply that at the start of each week I will choose a card at random from the deck and take a photo to satisfy the challenge. To record my exploits I've created a group on Flickr that is also freely available for others to join and take part. The rules are one photo per week (fitting the challenge of course) and no restrictions on camera or medium. I'd be interested in joining but it'd be worth posting on here so I remember! I really need to get out and take more photos to expand my skills. |

You can sign up now. There are around 20 people in the group so far. I'll keep this thread updated with progress, etc and a reminder when it all kicks off in January. |

As the 2016 project is coming to close it only seems right to announce the new 2017 project! This one is going to focus (no pun intended) on close-up/macro photography so if you'd like to join in please do.
