Just collected an 8x12 print, and I'm loving it. It's reminded me that photography is about producing something tangible and real that you hang up and look at. I have a feeling I'll be getting more made. It's a shame to just squirrel away pictures on a hard drive, or sneak them out onto Flickr now and then. How often do you spend tweaking your images, only for them to spend all their time perfect, but stuck on your hard drive? Get them printed and up on wall, a magnetic board, whatever. ![]() |

I have 5 of my photos hanging at home; it's a format I'd like to sell more of them in. One of them is 20" x 30" in size, and cost over £100 just to get mounted and framed. I also have several books made through Blurb, which is arguably a better way to view your photos as they don't take up as much space but you get so many more of them in the same place! |

I agree. My post processing involves deleting 50% of the truly worst pics followed by another 50% cull. A further 50% cull proves difficult but those RAW pics that are left I usually keep. For the past 10 months I have printed off 1 x A4 from each outing and stuck it into my portfolio (fancy name for a folder full of plastic holders). I also print off the odd one at work but A2 or even A1 frames are expensive. The wife is also against filling the house with aircraft piccies ![]() Al |

I keep meaning to get around to having some of mine mounted and framed. Perhaps that can be a project for this afternoon. |

I've got a B&W panorama taken at Woolacombe (think i posted it here somewhere) and printed it out as 4xA4 pagesm mounted each one in a borderless glass frame, then hung them side by side. |

Leads me to a question... where do you get your prints done? |

I use a little shop in Totnes that gives pretty good results, or South West Colour Labs. |
