Lovely stuff!
My only criticism would be to ease up on the HDR. ;)

As clown vomit goes, it's pretty restrained.

I was going to ask if there was some HDR in there. After I'd picked my jaw up off the floor that is.
Cracking shots Sir!

Yet still very noticeable.

Yes, noticeable, but I don't find it objectionable.

I'm not a fan of HDR generally, because it's so badly done most of the time. When it's done well, I quite like it. Stuart's renderings are, in my opinion, done well.

HDR, when done well, shouldn't be noticeable. Sadly, you've got some amazing compositions and yet the first thing I noticed was the post-process.
Which is fine, if that's your craft.
I see a lot of HDR where the 'sense' of the picture falls apart. Things that should be in shade aren't, outlines start making no sense because the background is apparently just as exposed.
I'm wondering if I'm going to be asked to teach it this year. That'll be an interesting lesson.

"Afternoon class, today we're going to learn about HDR. My advice is: don't. Right, let's watch a film."

Thanks guys and gals.

Aye there's a 'bit' of HDR in there. :P First two were supposed to be less obvious, whilst the boat one was an out and out HDR. I agree there a lot of poor HDR about, some of it makes my eyes bleed. Like you say prof, the lack of shadow is usually the dead giveaway. Sometimes though it's just such a mahoosive pain to balance the exposures with filters alone. Even with a really big bracket I think to myself, do I want to spend yonks blending this together, or shall I create a HDR, then try and un-HDR it, if you know what I mean?

I can do filters too. :P, although admittedly - not very well. :(

:) Much nicer, to my eye.

Out of curiosity, have you tried a B&W version of the boat on the water?

Thanks Prof. No not tried a mono on that one. It's something I keep meaning to do more of, especially when the light is poor. I don't know about you, but I think to get the best mono shots it's best to go out with the camera with a mono head on, and try and look for a shot that would suit it. What's your thoughts on that?

Generally, I think that's worth while, yes.
I've just done a very quick edit, see what you think:

Very nice indeed Prof, I like it, good job. I really must get some more mono shots done.
