What do you guys use? Ideally need something pocketable. Had a special occasion at the weekend, took the camera and some "fluff" blew on to it. Resorted to gently brushing off with a tissue (very lightly). Wasn't happy to have to use this but there wasn't much else in the way of choice and my microfibre cloths were at home.

I've seen brushes and "pens" in some of the online shops. Any recomendations?

I have a Giottos Rocket air blower to get the big bits off before I use the "huff on it" and microfibre routine.

Don't be too afraid to rub quite hard. The manufacturers coat the lenses, but it doesn't rub off easily. :D

I'm fairly careful with stuff like this, especially as I'm into detailing. On car paintwork, I use microfibres and if I drop one, I bin it. Tissues would be a no-no but this was a dire situation.

IIRC you're in medicine. Try getting a load of microscope lens wipes from pathology if you want a disposable option.

Not currently in hospital at the mo, which makes it a bit difficult. Will see if I can get someone to swipe some for me though.

Gave my Sigma 50mm a wipe today. Comprised of a burst of air from a rocket blower and a wipe over with a micro fiber cloth. I also have a lens pen but it sometimes leaves little black bits behind.

Do all pens do this?

I take it I can treat the lens as per normal glass eg spectacles? In which case could I use IPA and a microfibre?

As far as I know, the coating on a camera lens is actually harder than that on your typical glasses. As long as you don't try to clean a lens with emery paper, you should be fine! :D

Yup that's what I was looking at. There's also version 2 out.

That won’t do it. I use a mix of T-Cut and Vim.

The Spudz cloths look quite handy as they have their own pouch.
