I'm after one that's maybe a foot max in height when fully extended. The Gorillapods seems to have some negative reviews on Amazon which put me off. Looked at a nice Sunpak one which had a built-in spirit level but it's not available in the UK at the moment.

Any obvious choices? Ideally needs a spirit level - other than that, not fussed. It's for the G12.

I've got a gorillapod and it's quite good.

It doesn't have a level but it can be used for fairly hefty cameras and will fit in places that a normal tripod won't.

Group test of 18 tripods.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Awesome. I love some of the smaller 4" ones. Very handy!

Some of the tiny ones can be flimsy, make sure you test them beforehand if possible.

Testing them might be difficult if they're from online stores!

TBH I'd need it mostly for outdoors when shooting sky/landscapes, especially if bracketing or if I let the camera do its own version of HDRI.
