We have a charity shop that seems to specialise on old cameras. This one became mine.

Thats funny that I got a canon T70 from a hospital charity shop
with it's 50mm lens

for £12.00

and it was in full working order

Always look in charity shops as do have some good stuff sometimes

and a good cause benefit's from it

This particular shop sometimes has camera events. The whole shop full of old cameras, with experts on hand to talk about them sometimes. This camera cost £25 - and seems in very good condition. I'll know more when I get the film developed.

What I like is the satisfying, but quiet "clack" the shutter makes. Other half says that it "looks like a proper camera".

Student at college bought a MF Voigtlander TLR for about £25 from a local shop - needs a little bit of a clean internally, but it's all good otherwise.
Itching to have a play with it. :)

I'm so hoping that the shop I got to ends up with something like that.

I check all my local charity shops but they never seem to get camera related stuff in.

I think I might have to dig out my old Trip.

I tell you what though. I'd pay good money for a digital remake - same body, lens viewfinder and looks but with a viewscreen as well.

I particularly like the assessment about nuclear survivability.
