A 5 megapixel sensor capable of capturing 10bit RAW still images as well as being able to capture video at 1080p, 30FPS.
The chances are it'll not be in the iPhone 4G but just imagine what you could do with this chip and a well thought out Lightroom/Aperture app.

Ooooh, iPhone Lr would be cool. I've been pondering syncing photos between an iPhone/iPod touch and something like Lr a fair amount recently, as I'm feeling it'd be really useful to have a device capable of taking photos, and that really would be an ideal solution. Unfortunately it really is something Adobe would have to do themselves (8-().

As to the RAW, it's simply a firmware issue in my eyes. Essentially, what most RAW files are is the data lifted from the camera's sensor, with some nice headers and meta wrapped 'round the outside.

Without the bit depth RAW is only about as useful as jpeg, which is probably why we don't have RAW camera 'phone sensors yet.

Oh ok. I didn't realise Camera sensors used such a limited bit depth. My FAIL.
