Nikon shuts down Japan quake DSLR factoryIf the delay is significant the next model may well be called the D9.0 I'll have a ticket to hell please, one way.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

It's brand spanking new. I don't know anyone that's got one so can't get first hand knowledge from it. I guess you'll just have to research it extensively online or travel to a nearby shop that allows you to get a little hands-on time with it. Mark

I'm not sure if it has a built-in AF motor, something you may want to consider if so.

AF-S lenses (like the 50mm f/1.4) will be fine on the D5100. Mark

would it AF for 70-200mm VR nikon lens and for 17-50 tamrom O_O? I never ever ever use manual focussing

It will apparently only auto-focus using AF-S lenses, so if the ones you mention aren't that, then no.

A quick look suggests yes, but as we don't know the exact revisions of the tamron the only person who can know is you.
