I bought some Shure SE110's a few months back and hated them.

Thought they had no oompf behind them, and just completely lethargic.

Exceptionally clear in the mid-range, and pretty detailed up top but seriously lacking in the bass department. Some notes, which I can hear on other speakers, didn't seem to exist at all. :?

I sent them back for a refund pronto. :P

I have a friend who's just won an award for producing live sessions. His ears make his living.
He's also just asked for his iPod buds back as his the set that came with his iPhone have just been through the washing machine.
For mobile, on the move listening, we both agree there's no point in spending a £££'s on a pair of ear buds - although he will be investing in some noise-cancelling Sennheisers that'll allow him to listen at lower volumes to save his ears from getting a battering.
Was it a good award he won? :?

There's a huge difference between the old iPod earphones and the new ones, though.

The new ones knock the old ones for six, but they still don't sound very good.

The number one thing that stops me using iPod earphones is the fact that they are just so bloody uncomfortable. Quite how anyone can have them in their ears for any more than 1 song is beyond me.

Hmmmms, I think I may go for these, Denon AH-C751.

Some amazing reviews but some average, getting roughly 8/10. I think the price is pretty good as well, does anyone have any personal experience?

Hobgob.

I have the Denon C551's. They are fantastic sound wise, but i wouldn't say they block out outside noise completely
