not sure if this does go in here but dont know were else to put it

basically, on my freeview box everyso often it will sort of skip like 2 seconds and i will go no sound this is fine but rather annoying
however its more annoying on bbc2, were it makes a screatching sound and skips both audio and visual for about 10 seconds before going back to normal

i dont remember getting this problem with my old freeview box, but that died when the switchover came on, so could it just be this box ?

also it doesnt do this on the in built freeview on the tv downstairs,

Are you using an amplified aerial?
You might have either too much or too little signal going in to the box. As different boxes & TV's have different sensitivity tuners it would explain why the other one is fine.

I've only ever done it with a chicken so far, but if required I wouldn't have any problems doing it with other animals at all.
