Computer feet *damping* and new speakers for my PC

Hi all,

Two problems (well one, and one query):
Firstly, I am trying to use my creative soundcard settings on my computer to use the ampitheatre effect, yet although i like the sound (makes studio albums sound more rough) it also makes the bass higher (good good). Yet if the bass on my speakers go's up to more than a lowish level then my computer will vibrate.... its a lian li server case, i cant remember the name , except to say that it is massive, made of aluminium, with plastic feet (only contact point x4) and vibrates wildly.
I want to know, how can i make the house shake, but not the computer?

And secondly, Im currently using some creative inspire T6060 speakers (5:1) with the computer, but I really want something more fulfilling... so wondered what sort of options there are (at a price point of around £100-£150) any ideas?

Cheers,
:)

Dunno about the feet.

But I *can* help with the other thing.

Acoustic Energy Aego-M system. No questions asked. Sas will back me, but basically, just trust me and buy a set. You will thank me.

Aego's for speakers.

Add acoustic feet to the PC and stand the sub & PC on some nice heavy granite

Also move the sub as far away from the PC as possible

Likely buying some of those - just a shame that P&P is almost the cost of the item. It would only cost 50p to send them by RM as well..

I can't remember where I saw it (may be Custom PC) but I bought a damping kit for my pc. It included dampening feet, dampening drive screws and thumbscrews for the side panel. Otherwise egay.

My computer is now all sorted soundwise :)

Got the feet which did a fair job, but its the speakers (got the Aego-M's) that rule the roost, they dont make the computer vibrate at all plus sound crisp and clear. They can also go very loud.. im still slightly shellshocked.

Ty all for advice.

I'm becoming very curious about these speakers actually. Now that I've got my PC running into my main hifi I doubt they are going to be an improvement, but I'm still interested to see what the fuss is about.

For someone such as yourself, I don't think they're the right thing. However, I'm certain you would understand the appeal, were you to audition some.
